Join us for a performance by jazz pianist Andrei Kitaev and classical pianist Anastasia Kitaev. No cost and no sign up.
Andrei Kitaev is a Russian born jazz pianist who Ahmad Jamal once remarked “deserves to be heard at the best concert halls in the world.” He has performed alongside Elvin Jones, Lou Rawls, Arturo Sandoval, Freddie Hubbard, Eddie Gomez, John Clayton and Dean Martin, and now holds the honor of being the featured Portland pianist in the PDX Piano Perspectives Series.
Anastasia Kitaev was born near Moscow in Podolsk, Russia, to talented musicians. Mrs. Kitaev studied music at the Moscow Region College of Arts and the Russian Academy of Music. Mrs. Kitaev began performing in Moscow and the vicinity to great reviews, including recognition by the Podolsk Central TV where she received recognition of her performance on television.
AARP Driver Safety CourseJanuary 23, 2018 – 9:30am to 4:30pmPerforming Arts Center
AARP is offering Driver Safety Classes at Rose Villa. They will be offered throughout the year. All of the classes cover the same information, so you only need to sign up for one. Here are the 2018 dates for the course: January 23, March 20, May 22, July 24, September 25, and November 13.
All classes are from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center, except March 20th which will be in the Training Room. This driving course is a classroom refresher especially designed to meet the needs of seniors. It covers age related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, local driving problems and license renewal requirements. The cost is $15 for AARP members (bring ID) and $20 for non-members. Fee to be paid in class. Limited space. Register by calling (503) 652-3289 no later than a week before the class. This class is open to the public.
