Love Is...

February 26, 2014 - Matt Whitaker, Activities and Volunteer Coordinator | There are many different ways to look at love. As we approached Valentine’s Day in the Health Center this year I challenged the residents to try to describe what love is in a concrete way. We discussed what love smelled like, tasted like, and sounded like. It was such a privilege to sit back and listen as residents who have experienced so very much gave their descriptions of exactly what love was in very concrete terms. I couldn’t help but share that blessing with you. Enjoy!

Love is…Honey, smooth music, bright lively eyes, special dinners, sweet as apple pie, comfortable as an old shoe, hard to understand, pine trees, scary, exciting, a happy melody, Detroit Michigan, quiet as a mouse or loud as a ten ton truck, heaven knows, wide open spaces, everybody, a gift from God.

Let's continue to celebrate and be mindful of this unique gift as we move into spring.
