    On average 200 people live at Rose Villa.

    On average 160 live independently.

    On average 35-40 live in Rose Villa’s Health Center.

  • Q:What does it cost to live at Rose Villa?

    At Rose Villa, there is one-time entrance fee plus a monthly fee. The Standard Plan offers a lower fee option, which is repayable for the first three years of residency on a pro-rated, monthly basis. The Repayable Plan offers a higher fee option, of which 80% is repayable for the duration of your residence at Rose Villa. No matter when or how you leave, 80% of your membership fee will be returned to you or your estate when your home is resold.

  • Q:Are there tax benefits to living at Rose Villa?

    The amount you pay for a entrance fee (the non-refundable portion) along with your monthly occupancy fees may provide you with significant tax benefits. Each year a calculation is made, prescribed by the IRS, that tells Rose Villa residents what percentage of their non-refundable fees and monthly fees are deemed qualified medical expenses.

  • Q:Why pay an entrance fee/membership fee?

    Rose Villa is a licensed continuing care retirement community that offers a long-term care residency agreement. The one-time membership fee guarantees you access to future healthcare services at Rose Villa provided to you right here on campus.

  • Q:What type of transportation is available at Rose Villa?

    Rose Villa offers both public and private transportation. Tri-Met stops at our front door every hour, Monday through Friday. Our private transportation for residents includes a bus, van and two city cars with destinations including, not limited to, shopping, doctor visits, group tours and events.

  • Q:May out-of-town friends/family visit overnight?

    What are the lodging options? Yes, friends and family can stay with you in your home or can use one of our guest suites for a minimal nightly fee.

  • Q:May guests/family join me for meals?

    Yes, please invite friends and family to experience our wonderful dining services! Guest meals are available for a small fee.

  • Q:Does my long-term care insurance (LTC) apply anywhere on campus?

    Every long-term care insurance policy is different, and you should contact your insurance agent to learn about the details of your policy. In general, long-term care insurance policies will pay for all or a portion of your stay in the Rose Villa Health Center. Some policies will pay for In-Home Care Services in your apartment as well.
